- Only allow myself to be on Facebook from 1800-2000 (not working out well so far… I need to get better at this now!) – maybe this wasn’t a good goal? Sometimes I actually need to go on Facebook earlier to check on IV updates, etc.. but I have been better at limiting my time on Facebook/email big time.

September

Don’t back down! I am a strong, beautiful, intelligent, and spiritual woman. I deserve the man God will chose to give me. Also, be patient for him. He may not be right around the corner, but the search will be an important learning experience in my life. Pray daily for my patience, as well as my future spouse’s patience.)
June (WOW. I have lots to do, so I really need to be PRAYING every day!)

- Flee from my past relationship (this seems like such a long time ago, but I feel like I need to remind myself–particularly this month. It really is amazing how much easier this is for me now. Imagine what it will be like by the end of the year!
) (I am really proud of myself, however, I did end up calling his number once and going by his house a couple of times. I’m not sure why I did this, but I was having a really bad month, but I did flee from going directly to him by talking to my friend beforehand. So in a way, I fleed in the best way I could. - Watch no more than one show or movie per day (I did a good job at sticking to this – sometimes I wanted to watch two in one day, but I stayed focused! Good job!) and spend less time on the internet in general (ceramics helped a little)
April

March (I got my rear view mirror fixed!)

nope, but I hope to become one next month!! - Run 5 miles – nope, but I’m not going to give myself a hard time about this because I’ve been working on the flood
- No food after 9PM (for lent) – hmm… worked in the beginning, but not later since I had a weird schedule due to the flooding… Hopefully I’ll have a better sleep pattern next month!
- Read 2 or more books in the Bible – okay, I need to fit more Bible reading in my days!
- Study/do homework at least 35 hours/week – no, I know it’s been hard to with all the work I’ve been doing, but I seriously need to get on it next month!

- Flee from my past relationship–keep praying for healing (took him off my Facebook friends–I’ve been needing to do this for a long time) I AM SO PROUD OF MYSELF! I knew I could do it! It has been 4 straight months of fleeing from this. I have been feeling much better and I know that I deserve someone who loves me as Christ loved the church
- Go to bank–balance checkbook – nope, but again, I was busy working with the flooding. Next month I’ll do this!
- Deposit check into my savings and look at student loan

February

- Flee from my past relationship (Facebook included!), keep praying for healing I am very proud you for staying strong. Keep it up woman! You know you can get through this. It may seem easy to fall back into the relationship, but remember that you WILL regret it and that he will not love you as Christ loved the church… and don’t settle for anything less than that! Also, YOU need to stop looking at his Facebook. I know this is hard since I see him on a lot of my friend’s mutual friends. Urg! Why does the new Facebook make you see mutual friends? Oh well. Just make sure you click on other friends enough times so that he doesn’t show up and you won’t have to worry about it… until then, STAY STRONG.

January 2009

- Flee from my past relationship, keep praying for healing – I’m proud of myself for “fleeing” from this. This has been really hard for me, but I think God is going to help me out and I will hopefully be laughing at this by the end of this year.

November

- Study research methods for 10 minutes before bed time, and for 10 minutes after I wake up (somedays – I’m trying to get used to this)
October – This was a very stressful month for me. I ended a relationhip with a boy I have been with for 2 years of my life. But now I have hope for my future and I refuse to settle for anything different than God’s plans. September is a new month.
- Run NDSU 5K
- Practice the guitar for 1 hour each day (write in guitar log)
- Do 6 hours of homework/studying daily & catch up! (make a homework log)
- See my advisor and complete a degree audit
- Pray about my sleep, try to go to bed by 2300, try to get up before 0800… maybe see a doctor : )
- Leave 15 minutes before classes and work–sometimes this worked, but not usually for the classes that were closer to my dorm
- workout in the mornings (start at 0730)–just starting to work out in the mornings!
- Read 4 or more books in the Bible (So far, I read Judges!
) - Finish reading “A Table in the Presence” (didn’t have much time to read)
- Spend more time with my friends and meet new people-get back to my old, abnormal self
- Pray each day for HEALING from my past relationship, thank God for not letting it go any further, know that He’s gonna be there for me when I am weak, get as much family and friend support as possible
(this took up much of my energy)
September

- Put exam dates in Google calendar and my agenda book
- BALANCE my checkbook (maybe go to bank, or accountant to help me)

- Do 6 hours of homework daily and catch up/get ahead in my classes

August (this month did not go so well… I worked too much and felt very stressed)
- finish all of my creative writing homework
- Meet with my adviser and plan classes up until graduation
- Memorize two-letter words ^_^

- start practicing the guitar
- prepare for lit analysis and british lit!

July (Yikes!
Not sure if I got too carried away with this list, but hopefully it will work and I don’t add any more. Maybe I should cut something out? Or save for next month? I’ll let you know, I’m pondering…)
- Set aside 4 hours/day for creative writing (ooh… not so good
) and organize assignments into a notebook - arrive to my english class 15 minutes early each day!
- find/get a job (P/T or temporary)
- do things with friends (kayak, take a walk, window shop, sing karaoke with Cecily (and we took pictures of ourselves! lol))
- spend more time with my brothers (not as much as I’d liked to – most of them went to South Dakota
) - learn to cook 10 new things and start a recipe box-make something for July drill (for 50 people) – Oreo Truffles! chicken and dumplings, chicken quesadillas, banana smoothies, strawberry smoothies, ham and cheese crescent rolls, california burgers, buttermilk pancakes, breakfast burrito, poached eggs… WOW, I can’t believe I actually made it. I barely made it. In fact, I made the breakfast burrito and poached eggs on the very last day of the month! This is quite an accomplishment for me.

- get help with distorted thoughts–go to counseling, meditate, yoga, take long showers, write something positive about myself each day, seek help, read/write more, call friends more, play games!, puzzle, make sure that I plan my days to releave stress, talk to a pastor, eliminate negative thoughts about myself, don’t be so hard on myself, start recording how I am doing each day, listen to music, take time to relax, read a book for pleasure (not just schoolwork), don’t isolate myself, talk with friend more often, write in my prayer journal, KNOW that I conquer this with God’s help
